The weather has been great this week. The temperature is just about perfect, between 60 and 70 degrees. The grass turns green more and more each day. Daffodils are emerging from their winter slumber. The weeping cherry tree in my front yard is in bloom. After a cold, dreary winter, it feels great.
The season has also sparked creativity. If you follow my website, you’ll find weekly entries in the 52 Things blog. It is wonderful to share my knowledge of financial matters. The blog does not talk about how to save and spend millions. Instead, the posts deal with real world issues like how to manage expenses and develop a realistic financial plan. It is for people who don’t have huge salaries.
The blog keeps in the habit of writing, though I do find that my mind wonders a bit. The topics are different from the novels. I must engage the serious, business part of the brain, not the creative, fanciful side that comes up with the stories.
Rest assured, the Through the Mist saga will continue. I am currently working on a set of short stories that offer a peek at how three characters spent Christmas Eve 1804. It is the perfect bridge to the sixth novel.
I also have ideas for at least three other books completely separate from the Through the Mist world. I jotted down the basic outlines for all. Two of the books exist in the contemporary world created in Love at the Woolly Bookworm Shop.
Ahhh, spring! The best season for growth!
